Now, I have been a police officer for over four years and currently work for the Lower Merion Twp Police Dept just outside of Philadelphia.

I have been working at Tessera Technologies for a little over a year now as the warehouse coordinator- It has been fun. I love it. I have a 2 1/2 year old son (Jack Eric) and have been with my "wife" for about 8 years now. We recently organized and worked closely with Greg Attonito (frontman, Bouncing Souls) and his wife Shanti Wintergate (actress on CSI, singer, writer)on their new childrens book "I Went for a Walk". We organized two events in our city and they were fantastic!
Life has been very good to me. I have absolutely no complaints.

Hmmm... long story. I graduated from Brandeis Univ. with a degree in history in '94. I stayed in Boston for a year afterwards, before enlisting in the Army in'95.
In a nutshell, call it an experiment in self-knowledge and applied citizenship. I completed training as airborne infantry, and was assigned to the 101st division. I left the military soon after as a conscientious objector... call that one a conscious re-evaluation and reinforced refusal to let anyone else dictate to me who (if anybody,) and why (if there was a reason,) the enemy was.
Honorably discharged, I moved to D.C. and got used to being a civilian again. I worked as a cameraman and PA on several small film crews, something I'd started to do while at college. After two years of that, I got the chance to go traveling again... I packed or sold everything, got a backpack and headed west.
I traveled for a year... first down through Central America, then through Europe, the Middle East and India. Finally deciding to come back to the States, I moved back to Boston and walked ass-backwards into a job as a journalist.
I moved back down to the D.C. area last year. I'm currently working at a non-profit consortium in women's reproductive health in developing countries, and pursuing a Masters' degree in International Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason Univ. Sad to say, it seems to be a growth industry...

After high school, I attended and graduated Rutgers Univ. with a degree in Biochemistry. I had planned on a medical career, but needed a way to circumvent the 8+ years of schooling I would require to be a cardiologist ... so I went to work for a pharmaceutical company. For me, this was a great decision! I've had opportunities to work in every aspect of the business from sales to product management and currently run a sales force in NYC for a biotechnology company.
In my personal life, I've become an uncle twice over and plan to get married this summer - have some kids of our own. We have a black lab named Bailey and spend our time with friends and traveling.

What a long strange trip its been!
Graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Religion and the Humanities in 1994. I decided to become a rabbi in 1995, and that summer I went to Israel for a year to study at a yeshiva called Machon Pardes. In August I met Elisheva Bronzite and we were married on New Year's Eve 1995 in Jerusalem.
I have been learning (studying ancient and arcane Jewish texts) ever since. I am currently in the third year of a four year program for rabbinical ordination (Yeshivat Chovevei Torah). I am also finishing up a master's degree in Bible at Yeshiva University.
We have two children: Tikvah 3 1/2 and Sa'adyah 11 months. I would love to be in touch with friends from HPHS.

Hey there, it seems like life has been a blur since graduation. I went to college at Rochester Institute of Technology, and somehow wound up with a BS in Nuclear Medicine (still not sure how that happened). I moved down to Virginia, got married, then got divorced in 1999 (no kids thank god!). Began my career working in Nuc Med, then got involved in CT and MRI and became a Radiology Director. Became interested in IT while in Grad School and became an IT director, now I work in IT sales for a company called McKesson. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up!
I am now engaged, a wonderfaul woman named Kim, we just bought a house together north of the Manassas Battlefield and have two miniature Dauschounds, Budweiser and Guinness.
Looking forward to seeing the Wallys at my place in the fall. Love to hear from other HPHS alums.

I've moved around a bunch since high school. After college, worked for 3 years in Connecticut. Went to business school at Northwestern in Chicago, and then moved to Minneapolis to work in marketing for General Mills (Cheerios, Fruit Roll-ups -- that kind of thing). Two years ago, I moved to Orlando to work for a videogame company, where I'm a marketing director.
I've been married for just over 2 years to a woman I met at General Mills (even though she's from Alabama). I did bring her through HP once -- ate at Highland Pizza and took her to the Corner Confectionary. No kids, but a couple of dogs.
Bummed that I missed reunion -- my folks live in Detroit now, so I couldn't get back. Hope everyone is doing well.

After high school I went to Rutgers, and had a great time! My majors, there were a few: Psychology, Music, Computer Science, and then I finally decided on and graduated with a degree in Mathematics. I also competed gymnastics for Rutgers.
From there I started teaching mathematics at Spotswood High School. I was there for three years, went to Red Bank Regional High School for one year and now I am currently teaching at Manasquan High School. I coach gymnastics at Shore Regional High School and coach Winter and Spring Track at Manasquan High School.
Needless to say I am busy, but I always try to make time to be with friends. Not married, boyfriend lives in Chicago...long distance relationship.
I can't believe I missed the reunion. I hope everyone had fun!

Hi everybody I just found this site and enjoyed reading everyone's sound-byte of the last many years. After HPHS I lived in Israel for the year and was there during some of the scud attacks. I went to Douglass College- went back to Israel for my junior year-and after worked as a nursery school teacher for half a year and as a nanny and then for a year as a bartender and waitress at Ruby Tuesday's while applying to grad school for School Psychology. Last May I got my doctorate in School Psychology from Rutgers-GSAPP. I'm now working as a school psychologist for Pre-K which is the best. I'm also excited to live on the Hudson so close to NYC. Oh and I actually did part of my internship year at HPHS as a therapist/counselor with the new School Based Youth Services program now in place- which was pretty trippy. I'd love to hear from you -

After Rutgers, where I fell in love with urban agriculture, I travelled for a year many a place, from rural Whidbey Island, WA. to under the sea in Honduras. After the jetlag wore off, I settled down to a VISTA position at the EPA which moved me to Philly and I worked in the city of Chester for a year. After that I got a real job working in community gardening in Philly, not that the pay was much better than VISTA.... I did educational and technical assistance for low-income food gardeners in the NW and NE sections of my town. After almost 4 years I got the idea that I should go back to grad school, so here I am, livin' the dream at Temple University in the urban studies department.
In a nutshell, I'm poor but living well, and there's nothing I'd rather be doing in all the world.

Hi everyone! After high school I went to the University of Delaware and received a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics. While in college I met my future husband , Marc, with whom I have two amazing kids (Jared -2 1/2, Shelby - 4 months). After graduating and receiving my RD I went to work as a clinical nutritionist at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Staten Island.I stayed at the hospital for 8 1/2 years. Within that time I opened up a private practice (Well Balanced Nutrition Consulting, PC)and also began doing contract work for The Visiting Nurse Services of NY.
As for right now, I am happily a stay at home mom and enjoying every minute of it. I still go into my office and do the contract services on an as needed basis. (Luckily, my family still lives in the area and act as my babysitters!)

Well since I left wonderfull HPHS I have travled the world with the help of the US Navy I did my four years even did some time in the Gulf,I think I have done about 20 + countrys. After the Navy I took a intrest in computers not the techy side the sales side working for Fountain Tech after about 4 years with them I took a job in Florida working for a computer software company Ilived on the westcoast on the beach (Indian Rocks Beach )after 3 years living in the sun I really missed New Jersey so I came back hard to believe i could give up living on the beach but hey i am still in computer sales I what more can i say..

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994. After slacking off for a year I went to NYU med school and graduated in 1999. I then completed my residency in pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital (together with Dave Goldberg HPHS '92). Following residency I completed a post-doc felllowship in pediatric cancer and blood disorders at Boston Children's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Finally, after 10 years of training I have a real job taking care of amazing kids going through the toughest diseases imaginable. While sometimes sad, my work is incredibly uplifting and rewarding...I am currently faculty at uconn medical school and work at Connecticut Children's Med Center in Hartford.
As for life outside of work...after 1st year of college I started dating Maureen Kennedy, who I knew since I was 11 years old at summer camp. We were married in 1999 and had our 1st child in 2001, the first of 4 kids!!...Katelin (6y), William (3y), Jake (23mo), and Emma (5mo). Needless to say, it is extremely busy at home...feels like a constant tornado.
Unfortunately I could not make it to the reunion but hope to be there at the next one. Would love to hear from you...send an email.

I graduated with a BS in Psych from Lafayette College in '94. Worked as a school teacher educating the criminally insane before moving on to become a drug and alcohol counselor specializing in crisis intervention. Currently I'm in my 6th year at American U. in DC pursuing a PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience and working as a research fellow investigating the environmental enhancement of drug taking and drug seeking through animal models of drug abuse (i.e. I play with cocaine and heroin all day!). My other areas of interest involve rodent neuroanatomy, neurosurgery, and electrophysiology. Recently I've taken on another fellowship position working as a behavioural pharmacologist on a variety of projects funded by the DOD investigating chemical defense agents.
On those rare occasions when I manage to escape from my lab I spend my time either traveling or relaxing at home in the Cayman Islands where I now officially reside. Oh, and no wife and no kids. Just a dog and lot of rats!

Well, the family moved to Virginia back in 1988, and I then graduated here in Chantilly where the graduating class was larger than the entirety of HPHS. I hated it the whole time and missed Highland Park terribly. After graduating I went to Hawaii for around six months, it was really nice. I miss Hawaii. I got married in 1996 to Charles - we met through friends here in Virginia. We then bought our own house. After a few years, we decided homeownership was overrated (and expensive!!) so we got rid of it all and moved back in to my dad's house, so we could make certain he got taken care of and we never went without food or electricity. In the late 90's my health became iffy. In 2003 I started looking in to filing for disability. In 2004, I decided that it was time to leave my marriage and move with my father to Georgia. Now, am surrounded by a lot of family, though am much further from Highland Park than I'd like to be. *grin*

Wow, hard to believe, but is has indeed been over 10 years since I graduated from HPHS. So much has changed, but yet I am still who I am. Brevity has never been my forte, but I will try to be concise here.
After HPHS, I immersed the next 4 years at Columbia University, and graduated with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. This was perhaps the most useless venture in my life, as I never worked for a day as an engineer.
The next 4 years were spent in Bethesda, Maryland, where I was immersed in the crash course on how to be a doctor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). While the Department of Defense sponsored my entire medical education at USUHS, that did not make my medical school experience any easier; specifically, it was filled with perseverence, hardship, diligence, exhaustion (both physical and mental), loneliness, and last but not least, tear.
I received my MD degree in 1994, and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy. I spent the next year at the National Naval Medical Center and successfully completed Transitional Internship.
From 1999 till 2001, I served as a General Medical Officer with the Third Marine Expeditionary Force, where I was forward deployed at Okinawa, Japan. The two years I spent with the Marines, which was full of interesting experiences, allowed me to come to one unifying conclusion: Alcoholism is a true epidemic amongst the USMC!
I am now back in the states, and I have embarked upon my Residency training in Internal Medicine at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. The 100+ hours work week can be quite overwhelming at times, but I feel confident with the future, and look forward to a Fellowship in Cardiogology.
With career having been the primary driving force of my life up till this point, it is of little surprise that I have suffered miserably on the relationship front...

I've been quite busy since high school. I got married in 1993, had 2 beautiful children. My oldest, Melissa will be 11 years old in August. My son Richard will be 9 years old in September. As luck would have it, my husband and I were divorced. I remarried a second time, and that marriage also failed. Now I have 2 more beautiful children with the love of my life.We have 2 daughters, Madeline who will be 3 years old in May, and Rosemarie who is 19 months.
I've had a rough life, learned a lot of lessons,and am finally at a place where I can say that I'm truely happy. I never went to collage, but am currently trying to earn my CDA at a local school. I've thought about high school a lot over the years, and I must admit that I miss the people I went to school with (even though I kept myself in a shell most of the time). I never really let myself get to know anyone. I hope that I can change that.
Well, I've got to go for now. Hope to get to know some of my classmates better.
