I live in Toms River, but still come up to HP often to visit my father and friends. Life is good at the shore...boating, fishing, and I played in a few bands over the years.
I work at McGuire AFB as an avionics quality assurance inspector. My job has enabled me to see a lot of the world, but I'm slowing that up now and becoming more settled.
I stay in contact with several old classmates: Jan Rogers, Jimmy Jones, Bob Kubin, Karl Marcic, and several others, and keep up on what's going on in HP.

I am also on the air at KALW-FM, a San Francisco public radio station and I help run Burning Man Information Radio at the Burning Man arts festival in Nevada. I teach SCUBA in my spare time. I see both Jeremy Coles and Adam Shoehalter from time to time as both live close by in Oakland.

Hi everyone! I graduated from Rider (College) University in Lawrenceville, NJ with my B.S. in Accounting in 1985. Years later and upon getting layed off, my part-time job of Club DJ turned full time for about 5 years. I played mostly in NY, NJ and Connecticut, but also played at nightclubs in Boston, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. (I know that accounting and DJ-ing are kind of like the equivalent of being shy/wild.) I returned to the accounting profession for more stability and because "I wasn't gettin' any younger". I am now Financial Controller of a British retailer of handmade, custom furniture. I am also pursuing my M.B.A. at University of Phoenix Online.
When I get old, I plan to sit in a retirement home and demand that they play "Hungry Like The Wolf" again. (Stolen from Margaret Cho.)

Twenty years? Yikes! Pretty hard to compress that into a paragraph. After High School I got a Bachelors in video production and a Masters in educational technology from San Diego State University. I moved to Vermont around 1991 because it's pretty much my right spiritual place to live. Currently I do research in special education for a company called Learning Innovations at WestEd. I do a lot of technological support on the software end, as well as writing and graphic design. They call me TechnoDiva at work, which is where I got the name for my website.
There's some fun stuff on my on my website www.supertechnogirl.com, including photos of my spoiled kitties and my pet snake suki, pics of my catering creations, and lots of my writing. I write a spirituality column - a non denominational unitarian universalist/taoist approach to the universe. I do a lot of stuff around writing including editing a newsletter and moderating an online group for writers. I also work out at Jazzercise and am something of a Jazzercise evangelist.
I'm single at the moment, and also child free - being as I consider my cats to be all the children I can handle. Yes, I've been in love a few times, but never sufficiently motivated to get married. But then the "paper" never did mean much to me.
I suppose I think of myself as something of an artiste - mildly eccentric, driven, and fearless. I can't remember what I was like back in high school. I think I was a bit eccentric and fearless even then (geeze I can remember some outrageous things I said back then), but far less driven.

After graduating from Rutgers University as a Chemical Engineer, I ran off to Japan to teach English. I got married in Japan and then came back home to work in the environmental field. My job brought me to the Pittsburgh area and I have been living in Pittsburgh for the past 11 years. My daughters are 10 and 7 years old. Although I don't get to wear punk outfits anymore, my colleagues put up with my funky socks and stockings

Diane and I met about fifteen years ago at a party and have been married since 1993. We live in East Brunswick and have two boys, Dominick, 6, and Vincent, 3.
I recently became a partner for a public relations agency in Newark and have nearly completed my MBA at Rutgers. My wife is employed with Motorola.
Like thoughtful and caring parents deeply concerned with the psychological well being of our children, we are raising our boys as faithful New York Mets fans. Dominick, having once already attended a game at Shea Stadium, has decided that he wants to grow-up to be a catcher like his favorite player, Mike Piazza. Vincent now regularly chants “Let’s Go Mets” on cue.
Dominick occasionally escapes to our basement to play on his father’s long dormant drum set. Vincent, inspired by his brother’s random drum strokes, often provides a performance art dance to accompany his brother’s rhythm.

Work and play!!! I'm a School Psychologist at Hillsborough H.S. as well as a Cross Country and Track Coach (that shouldn't be a surprise!!!) - I love the coaching and am thinking about a Ph.D. program in Sports Psychology. Guess who I'm coaching with? Mr. Murphy!!! Brings back memories!!! I just moved here 2 months ago - I had been in Cedar Grove for 11 years working and coaching. Free time finds me mountain biking, running, hiking, going to the gym...and basically doing all kinds of sports - just can't get away from it!!!! Still in Jersey...although down here it is beautiful - lots of Farm land!!!! Definitely different than H.P. - It's great to see so many people from H.P. after all these years when I run into them - Would love to hear from people - Take care...

I practice law in Chicago at a financial software firm (where my ex-husband has worked for 19 years!). My sister Kerry (married with 2 daughters) also lives in the Chicago area as do my parents, who retired here a few years ago. If anyone remembers my little brother, Jonathan: He is the president of Doane College in Nebraska and is married with two children. I am still in touch with Silke Ullmann, if anyone remembers the German student who spent some time at HPHS.

After attending Rutgers, a small college in Tampa, Florida, and a technical institute in Edison, I worked as a Systems Operator and Programmer for a mining corporation. I later decided to dedicate my life to teaching the Bible and moved to Spain, where I lived for 16 years.
In July of 2005, I moved back to New Jersey with my family and am now working with three non-denominational churches in the area. As simply Christians, our main goal is to please God by carefully adhering to the teachings of Jesus revealed in the New Testament; this gives us a true and lasting sense of purpose in life! I met my wife, Maria, in Seville, Spain and we have two children: Elisabeth (age 8) and Jonathan (7).

I graduated from Cook College in 1988 with a BS in Environmental Science and in 1991 from the University of Washington (Seattle) with an MS in Land Use Planning and Natural Resource Policy Analysis. In the interim I learned to climb (rocks and mountains), worked as a professional climbing guide and wilderness educator, started telemark skiing, surfing, flyfishing and hunting elk, all of which I still actively pursue.
I agressively pursued a career in land conservation and have worked for a variety of land trusts and other conservation interests over the last 12 years, ranging from The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming to a local land trust focused on urban conservation in Los Angeles. I am currently the Vice President for Lands of the Rocky Mountain ELk Foundation.
I met my wife, Lisa, about 9 years ago and we've been married for 7 with a beautiful daughter, Ruby, who is 19 months old. We live in Missoula, Montana and are loving life, the outdoors and each other as much as possible.
And that's about it. I would be interested in hearing from any of you that want to connect. I travel around the country extensively for work, especially in the West, and would love to hook up for a beer or whatever if a logical intersection occurs.

I moved to Piscataway in 1983. Married Rick Middleton 1984. Had a daughter, Heather, the same year. Separated from Rick in 1988 and divorced him in 1989. I met my husband Tony in 1989. We got married in 1995. And we had our daughter, Theresa, in 1996. We bought a nice bi-level in Piscataway. Our third daughter, Angela, was born in 2000.
My husband works for Princeton University as an alarm technician. I work Primerica Financial Services as an Office Manager.

Wow!! a Million years later!!! Who would have thought? a whole WORLD for us to find!!! Highland Park was so SMALL and SAFE when you think of it!! I wish my kids could have such a secure place to grow up. Although, in retrospect, (I'm not so sure "safe" is always the best path"). We've all traveled... gone beyond... looking... and yet we end up going back!!! What's with THAT??? But that's OK!!! By the way, life is good, things aren't always easy, they are good overall. By the way, Ernie, I Did recognize you!. Maddie, I hope all is well with you, you're a good person and deserve a good life. Jan, you're bravest person and deserve so much gratitude and even more respect! As, for myself, I'm good!! and finding this Web Site made me smile! At 41 "I've "Been there", and "Done That" I guess I'm lucky I didn't get permanently injured in the process. So I guess what I'm trying to say is,,, It seems we've all "Been There" and "Done That".

Gee, how do I sum up the past 26 years since I left HP?
After high school I went to Tufts University, getting a degree in electrical engineering, and subsequently an MBA from Boston University. I lived in the Boston area until 1996, when I moved to Florida for a few years. I worked in the electric utility industry, and did market research consulting.
I spent a few wonderful years in Marietta, Georgia where I used my vast educational and professional experience to teach water exercise and be a stay-at-home mom. In 2003 my 2nd husband Bill and I moved to our current home in Tampa with my son Adam, and Bill's sons Robbie and Mike.
In my freshman high school yearbook Mrs. Hummel prophetically wrote, "Nina, you were such an enthusiastic geometry student, maybe someday you'll be a math teacher." She was right, because now I've metamophosized into a high school math teacher. Every day I get to torture juniors and seniors with the agony and ecstacy that is trignomonetry and analytic geometry (I've got a strong geek streak going).
So many of my high school memories are so wonderful - I had such a flashback the other day to sitting in Mr. Jern's calculus class, sitting in front of Lisa Zuckerman and behind Michael Fortenbaugh, alternately focusing on my conversations with Lisa about what I would now consider completely inappropriate topics for discussion in a math class, and at the same time listening to Mr. Jern fascinate me with limits, differentiation, and integrals. I still am sad at the loss of Mr. Donahue and think of him, Mr. Gumbs, and my teachers with fondness (even Mrs. Wolfson!).

whew...20 years. More. What've I been up to?
Went to NJIT. Ran out of money. Rent was due. Joined the Navy. Became a nuclear operator on a fast attack sub. Got out. Got job. Went back to school.
I've lived in Chicago, Indianapolis, Santa Fe, Orlando and now I'm back in NJ. I'm not sure why, but my wife won't leave. We've been married for 15 years. My daughter is 11. She's not a bad goalie, either (my daughter, not my wife).
I started my career as an Electrical Engineer (IC Circuit design). I've migrated to controls, programming and databases. Now I don't get to do any of the cool stuff anymore. I get to watch younger guys do it. I managed the e-Business department for a major computer company for a while. Now I consult in the NYC area. I coach girls soccer too, but it doesn't pay the bills.
Nice to see the names of the folks who have contributed to this site. I didn't get to really get to know a lot of people in High School - I had some issues at home growing up - but I remember most of you fondly. If you're still in Jersey and feeling nostalgic, I'm up for a beer and a chat. If you have seen the light and escaped this polluted state, good for you. Email me and convince my wife.
