I've been busy these past 30 years! After leaving Highland Park high and spending a year at Rutgers, I transferred to Grinnell, a small liberal arts college in Iowa. From there, I had a scholarship that allowed me to travel around western Europe, and then I taught at an international school in Guatemala City. After that, I got my M.A. in international affairs at the University of Chicago and had a career in foreign affairs at the U.S. Department of State, primarily as a Latin America expert and also served for two years in Argentina (1990-92). Went back to school for my MBA at Wharton and then spent several years at AOL doing the dot.com thing. After the Time Warner merger, I went out on my own as a communications and management consultant, and later landed as Vice President of Internal Communications at Sodexho, the leading provider of foodservice and facilities management services. My wife Iris and I have two great kids -- Francesca, who is college-bound this fall, and Christopher, who is a high school freshman. I still make it up to Highland Park once in a while to see my Dad, who still lives there and practices medicine with my brother Richard.

Life is good in Southern, NH. I am a recruiter for a telecomm company and became a freelance writer for the local newspaper in Nashua. (they gave me my own column which I enjoy writing).

Family moved to Southern California after my sophomore year. I moved to northern part of state a couple of years later, went to UC Santa Cruz and after graduation moved over the hill to Silicon Valley, where I have been ever since. I started a group of weekly newspapers, and have been doing that now for a couple of decades. Am unmarried and living with a pet chameleon.

Update, July 2006: Well, Floyd the chameleon died in a a tragic pet store fire while I was traveling. Have successfully dodged the marriage bullet so far, but enjoy reading about everyone else's "fantastic" kids. The reinvention of media keeps me busy here in Silicon Valley, but I'm still a Highland Park boy. Some of you remember the underground newspapers I published in Highland Park--that was the beginning of my media career--and the house on my home page is on Becker Street. I'm sorry I won't make it to the big 3-0.

Hello! I went to Middlesex County College and then to a funeral service school in NYC for 2 years. Worked in a funeral home for 7 years and during that time I got married and continued to live in HP. Left the funeral business and worked for a mobile office company. Got divorced (no kids) and moved to Oklahoma in 1989. I love it here! I have legal guardianship of my almost 14 year niece who is on the pom squad and takes dance lessons. I work as an office manager for a Catholic church and volunteer in various organizations. Recently developed a Bonsai tree hobby and am enjoying life. Would love to hear from old school friends. Take care!

It was very nice to come across the list of names and see how a few of you are doing.
i live in Atlanta and absolutely love it down here. I work as a charge RN in one of the downtown hospitals and have found this work very rewarding and never boring!! I met my wife Mary here and she is originally from this area. I have taken her a few times to Highland Park and we have always enjoyed a walk down the main street. Things have changed quite a bit over the years, but the High School looks the same. Every time i see it, it's hard to believe how quickly the years have passed!!!
Overall, my life has been good and thankfully in great health. Play a lot of golf in my spare time, but I am not Tiger Woods by a longshot!! Have done a lot of traveling throughout Europe, South America, and was lucky enough to spend a month in China last year. Have a house just off a large lake. It is very quiet and peaceful. I have been very fortunate indeed and hope this finds all of you happy and in good health also.

After HPHS..........Graduated from Boston University. Parents moved to North Miami Beach, Florida. Been living in Sunny South Florida ever since 1980. Met my husband Mark at a singles night in a Publix Supermarket. Got married in 1988 and have 2 beautiful children. Zachary (13) and Shannon(7).Wanting to be a SAHM, began selling Tupperware in 1992. Way long ago, in a time that is since hard to remember after graduating HPHS I went on to Middlesex County College and then to theTyler School of Art in Philadelphia. After moving a couple of times in NJ I landed in Baltimore for 12 years where I lived, married and had my fabulous daughter, Michelle (11). Ten years ago we moved to Winter Haven, Florida, the home of Cypress Gardens. Michelle and I live a pretty good life in this small town, with a population about the size of HP.
I am now a single mom employed by Winter Haven Hospital in Development, Marketing and Public Relations as their resident graphic artist. Recently, I returned to school at University of South Florida to earn a Certificate in Public Relations and a degree in Marketing. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion!

Well, since the last time I posted Iv'e moved to Fla. Nice wheather but the hurricanes are a bit troubling. Was married for 12 years now divorced. There not much to relate just the everyday stuff. SOOOOOO bummed that I couldn't make it to the 30th reunion; heard it was great.
Taking this opportunity for a little shameless self-promotion: I released my first CD this summer. You can check it out (and buy it!) on my website www.laurazucker.com. Working on the second CD right now. Lots of grist for the songwriting mill in the last couple of years, but so far so good. I'm single again, and have three FABULOUS kids (a strictly objective description) now 13, 11 and 8. I hope to make a go of the singing/songwriting thing so I don't have to go back to practicing law.

Hi everyone! Since 1976, I graduated from Stockton State College. I married, had one son, and after 20 years, am divorced. I also went back to school for a degree in nursing and now work as a nurse educator in a Philadelphia Hospital. I live in Collingswood, NJ (that's South Jersey). Den's 2 oldest are still living in Fla. Dennis Jr. is engaged to a wonderful woman. Angela is studying hard in nursing school and raising our Grandchild Hunter who will be 2 in Oct. Our daughter Ashley is 15 and in the 10th grade. She is involved in Field Hockey, Track and Field,Snow Boarding,and Community Service. She keeps us busy.I'm sorry I missed the last reunion. Just got back from the reunion--what a blast! It was wonderful catching up with people, so I'm belatedly adding my info to this page. I've been in or near Durham since 1984, and teach very very part-time at Duke. I went from HP to Swarthmore, then to Iowa City, then Chicago,and then Cincinnati, before settling down in NC. Married John Browning, a tall, handsome Kentuckian, in 1983, had a daughter in 1989, and a son in 1992. Widowed in 1994. Finished my Ph.D.(from Carolina) in 1995, which helped keep me sane (relatively speaking). The older I get, the more I realize how wonderful it was to grow up in Highland Park. I am so grateful.

Well, as you might have guessed, I've aged but still have the energy and looks of a teenager(:. From HPHS I went to Tufts University in Boston, then got my Masters from Hahnemann (Philadelphia). After a brief stint as a Dance Therapist, I became a full-time writer/editor. Lived in Philadelphia from 1985-1994. Got married in 1991 and moved to Minneapolis in 1994. Have a beautiful 10-year old daughter and work as a Communications Coordinator for a health plan. Still dance on the side, and love to ski and travel when not working. In general, I'm enjoying life in the snowbelt and can't wait to see you all this summer!
