Since I’m with high school students all the time, I often think about my high school years and my classmates. I especially think about how different our culture was (and better?). I was devastated 24 years ago when I lost my senior yearbook in a basement flood. I have three children. My 36-year-old son lives in San Francisco and has a daughter. I've enjoyed my career totally having worked in hospitals, schools and for publishing companies. I currently have a private speech therapy practice in Westfield, NJ that includes treating clients, in-service teacher training and on-site consultations for long-term healthcare settings. My speciality is language-learning disorders and Alzheimer's disease. I married Averell Eisner (yes, Sherman's brother)in 1978 and we have two daughters. Then spent time in NY, Houston, and Pittsburgh for Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology. I owed a couple of years to the Navy & stayed for 12 years (mainly at Naval Hospital Bethesda, MD). Then academic Ped Cardiology to private practice for 15 years and now back to academics at Penn State University, Hershey Medical Center. I've been married since '91 to Susan Pullman (aquacize, Pilates, etc instructor). My oldest daughter is 32 and is a CPA, professional big band singer, and painter in Jerusalem, Israel (bombing causality on April 12, 2002). My middle daughter is 30. After living in Southest Asia on and off for eight years and completing her doctorate from Yale last year she finally has a home in the states (Chicago). My son is the youngest (26), the only one married, is in Washington completing a masters. My step-son just turned 19 and is out of the house at Drexel University. ! Marilynne Kronman Hartstein Current Location: Paradise Valley, Arizona Email Address: markenhart@cox.net Kenny (class 1962) and I have now been married for over 35 years! In 1980, after living our whole lives in central Jersey (except college) we decided to move to Phoenix so Kenny could become a partner in a financial planning company here. What a change. At the time our three boys were 11, 9 and 4. Our oldest son (32) is now working with Kenny and our youngest (26) who is now with an internet company in London we hope will also be back to work with them at the end of the year. I also work part time for our company. Our middle son (30)lives in Prescott, AZ (@ 1 1/2 hours away). Still waiting for daughters-in-law and especially grandchildren. Think we're actually getting close now. We love it here, but are lucky to do a lot of traveling too. The last few years we've gotten the golf craze and are excited to be planning to build a new home in a beautiful golf community in North Scottsdale. Sherman Eisner Current Location: Silver Spring, MD Email Address: alarminfo@aesecurity.com I graduated from the Univ. of Bridgeport in accounting, but Uncle Sam had other career plans for me - I spent the next 3 years in the Army, one of which was as an infantry platoon leader in Viet-Nam. Needless to say, it was a long and difficult year. After leaving the service, I went to work as an accountant for the U.S. Treasury Dep't. - with the thought of staying a year. Twenty-eight years later I retired. My last position was as Director of Finance for one of the Treasury bureaus (now you probably understand why our country's finances are in the red). I've been happily married to my wife Ellen for over 28 years. Ellen works at the National Cancer Institute as the director of consumer research and evaluation. We have a lovely daughter and a wonderful redheaded grandson, age 4. I currently own an internet company that sells commercial and residentialsecurity equipment. It's a great business and since I run it out of my home there is no commute, no meetings and dress is optional - usually dungarees and a ratty t-shirt. Life is good, I hope you all feel the same. On the downside, our class lost one of our brightest stars. Leo Lefkowits was killed in a car accident in Europe while visiting his daughter, son-in-law and new grandchild.
