I became the President of the University of Maine at Fort Kent on August 1st, 2002. The university is one of seven branches of the state university of Maine. Fort Kent is a small town of 4500 many of whom are descendants of the Acadians or French-Quebec loggers. French is the common language in town. We have 850 students. Our location is at the very top of Aroostook County at the top of Maine on the Canadian border. Lots of moose and pine trees.
After active duty in the Navy I spent about 20 years in higher education in NJ, and moved to Bethlehem, PA in 1989 as Vice President of Moravian College and Seminary and in 1994 to Bridgewater State College (MA) as VP for Institutional Advancement. We raised $24 million at Moravian and $10 million in a start-up operation at Bridgewater.
Ellen and I love this area and expect to do a lot of skiing and sailing. Three grown kids: Scott, Catherine and Matthew. Recently retired as a Captain in the Naval Reserve. Fort Kent will host the World Cup biathlon in March 2004, so get out your warm clothes and come visit us.

Moved to St. Louis in 1978 to get married for the second time. Have one daughter age 21 college senior who is interviewing with accounting firms here. Husband Maurice died October 4, this year.Do a lot of volunteer work.

I have a son living in Metuchen and another son living in Panama City Beach, Florida. I used to work for Eastern Airlines for 17 years and have had a variety of "temp" jobs since then and I am now working for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. I lived in The Netherlands for over a year and have traveled throughout Europe and North America. One favorite trip was boating from Sandy Hook to Florida and then the Bahamas, helping navigate on a friend’s boat, traveling on the Inter Coastal Waterway and the Atlantic. Favorite activities are boating, gardening, hiking, basically anything outdoors.

After graduation from Rutgers(64) I spent a year at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and then seminary in NYC until 1970. I was an Air Force Chaplain until 1993 living in Alaska, Germany and Greece among other places. I am currently a congregational rabbi in a suburb of Seattle, WA. I would be happy to catch up with all the people I graduated with and hear about their lives.
