Ginger PRENTISS Current Location: AKRON, OHIO After graduation worked in Princeton, N.J. until heading out to Denison Univ. in Granville, Oh. Finished one year and elected not to return because I fell in love with a Senior and couldn't imagine going through 3 more years without him. Returned to New Jersey to attend Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Montclair, N. J. while "significant other" completed Navy Basic Training at Bainbridge, Md. Got engaged and then mnarried before Walt left for Naples, Italy. I moved in with his parents and worked as a secretary for a lawyer and then for a Lutheran Church in Massillon, OH. When Walt returned we rented an apartment while he entered the insurance world. The rest is history--4 children and a very busy, active, rewarding life as a wife, mother, and citizen. Walt retired at 65. We sold our house in Massillon (his hometown) and downsized into a cozy home on the Portage Lakes in Akron. We spend six months or more there, and we hurry South to the Orlando, FL. area for the winter months. We love boating and the outdoor life! We also love being grandparents of five grandsons and four granddaughters. The oldest will turn 25 this Christmas and the youngest is now a sturdy 11. Between graduations, confirmations, sports events, and other special occasions, we never lack for places to go and things to do!!! Bet you all can say the same!! For 70 years plus we are in fairly decent health and in spite of some physical aches and pains, we are able to see, hear, speak, walk, ride bikes, play golf and enjoy life in general. I would love to hear from my HPHS classmates and want to congratulate those wonderful souls who started the new alumni newsletter and the funding of scholarships through the educational foundation! Richard P. RoeserCurrent Location: Poughkeepsie, New York Email Address: rroeser@optonline.net Hi, it's July 2004, just returned from Alaska: time to write to my old classmates. After HPHS I graduated from Rutgers (Eng'55), then married Nancy Reed (NBHS'51). We have three grown children and three grand children. I spent three years '55-'58 in the military (1st LT USAF) mostly overseas in France. After more Rutger's education(MS'62), I joined the IBM Corporation, working in product development and later in corporate finance. I retired from IBM in 1988, then was a Professor for six years at our local Collage, teaching Data Processing and Accounting. We're fully retired now. We've traveled pretty much continuously since college. Between the military, business and personal, I been to all of the states, provinces, and central American countries plus over thirty other nations. Costello and I never lost touch: we're starting our eight decade of close friendship. I've been in contact with Mark Sosin, Al Comption and Joachim Sulfrian over the years. Ken Keller and I were college classmates, so we remained close until his untimely death almost ten years ago. Of course, I made the Reunions over the years, so I've seen many of you classmates. Nan and I will have our 50th wedding anniversary next year. After that I can start thinking about a Class of '51 55th get-together, if we plan to have one. In the meantime, my best to all of you.
